We've had another birthday...

Our Krista Mae is 6!  Friday the girls didn't have school, so we invited a couple of Krista's church friends to the park for a party.  It was a beautiful sunny day, not too hot or cold...unfortunately it was very, very windy.  After a couple failed attempts at games we decided just playing on the playground was best.

We tried to put candles on the cake...then gave up and told Krista to blow out the match...then told her to at least pretend to blow out the match so we could get a picture.  Darn wind!

 Krista's little primary class is darling.  Seriously, some of the cutest, sweetest kids ever.

Sunday was the actual day.  Sundays also tend to be pretty busy around here, and yesterday was no exception.  We found a little time for cupcakes and presents and had Krista's request for dinner - baked potatoes.

Krista has read all the Junie B. Jones books we own (and most of the ones in her classroom as well), so of course she needed some new ones!

Our sweet Krista is not used to anything being about her and took all the busy-ness of the day in stride.  She even told me when she was going to bed that it was "the best birthday ever!"  Love her.
