A pink and white Christmas

Christmas morning brought several lovely surprises.

Earrings for Keira...

A pink eye for Mommy.

(Notice I didn't just say "pink eye" - it was actually a sinus infection right behind that eye.)

We still had a lovely Christmas and the house stayed messy the rest of the day.

That evening brought the white.

We were also showered with Christmas cards (and they're still coming in).  Thank you friends.  I love this yearly tradition.

Sickness came to one and all of the Anderson household.  Between the weather and the fevers we had to cancel Grandma and Bonka's gift of a trip to Branson.  We spent most of the week in the house trying to recover, but the girls made sure to take a trip to Grandma's spa every day.  We were grateful to never lose power as many in our area did.

We finally got sick of being sick (and cooped up) and took a trip to Little Rock.  A visit to the State House Museum (just like last year) brightened some spirits.

 We played at the Peabody Hotel for a few minutes:

 and made sure we saw the ducks.

 And finally finished off the night with sushi and yakitori at Mt. Fuji.
