Thanksgiving

Road trip!  We have yet to spend a Thanksgiving in Arkansas - lucky us!  This year we traveled south to Houston to visit my brother Eric, his wife Tammi, and their two little girls, Cati and Cari.
The girls immediately got to playing.

And Eric got to cooking. (Tammi is finishing up nursing school and had finals to study for - hopefully we didn't distract her too much).
He smoked one and put the other in the oven - they were both amazing.
Then we got to eating.  Delicious.
Friday we went to the Johnson Space Center.
Old mission control was a favorite.

During lunch Cari volunteered for a "Stranger Danger" presentation.  Then she practiced with Ed the rest of the time we were there.
We loved it!  Of course we had to go watch Apollo 13 afterwards to compare, and truly absorb all we had seen.
Saturday we were off again, this time to Dallas to visit our friends, the Boyds.  Of course I didn't take any pictures.  But their house was beautiful, the kids got along like they'd always known each other, and Jeremy and Makell are some of our favorites.

We were completely taken care of this trip.  As we were driving home on Sunday Kassie said, "I just love Texas!"  I think everyone concurs.  Thank you Laws and Boyds - next time in Arkansas!
