November

No individual postings this month, it was all about the family times.

So...in November, we:

*voted

It was my very first time voting in person (as opposed to absentee ballots). Go us.

*celebrated Veteran's Day with our Veteran. Ed and his dad had a fun day of eating out at all the restaurants offering free food to Vets. Then we met them for an impromptu hike up Table Rock. It was on Bonka's bucket list after his knee replacement to hike it again. We all made it to the top with minimal whining. Go us.

*had several Quiet Book crafting days. Amy gave all her sisters and sisters-in-law and several of the nieces and nephews a year-long project of making Quiet Book pages. It has taken us all year (because many didn't even start until the end), but we're finally nearing the end. Go us.

While we were all working on that, Ed took on a craft project of his own: reupholstering our kitchen bench that was destroyed by little fingers. I don't have a picture of the finished product, but trust me, he did a dang good job. It looks good as new.

*ate up jars and jars of my mom's pickles. We can't get enough of them.

*Spencer got tickets to a BSU game, so Ed hung out on the blue turf on one of the coldest nights of the year.

*celebrated 2 Thanksgivings! Ed had to fly Thanksgiving Day, so we had the Anderson Thanksgiving the Saturday before.

Good food, football, and Grandma and Bonka took all the kids to a movie. It was perfect.

Thanksgiving day the girls and I were at my parents for snacks and football and puzzles all.day.long. Perfect again. And then we had the Law Thanksgiving on Friday.

Keira helped Grandma make rolls.

There were cousins playing...

and football-game cheering...

and a little creepy virtual reality thrown in for good measure.

*One cold day Stephen took a group shooting, and Ed and Keira went along.

Keira thought it was pretty cool to make things explode.

*and...just because she's cute, here's a picture of my sweet Krista Mae studiously reading The Friend. I caught her cross-referencing articles with her scriptures. Still not sure I can believe this girl is 10.
