Spud

For Ed's final week of leave we had his brother Spencer ("Spud") here. Of course that meant a week full of showing off Okinawa!
One day Ed took Spencer to Shuri Castle and Kokusai Street.
He thought the Level 1 spice at Coco's Curry was a little much.
But Kitakaisen's California Rolls (and everything else) got a big thumbs up.
Ed has been wanting to dive the Keramas Islands since he got dive certified - he could only schedule it while Spencer was here, so Spence got to go snorkeling while Ed dove. I think he really liked the boat ride.
The biggest stick bug we've ever seen.
Spencer's one request was to go to the aquarium. The aquarium is actually part of a much bigger park that we've never really explored, so we took the opportunity to see a little of it. We started at the Tropical Dream Center.
It was made up of greenhouses and gardens full of flowers, plants and fruit trees. Beautiful!
Halfway through was this lookout tower.
Keepin' it alive!
Then it was off to the aquarium.
Halfway through Spencer's trip Ed's leave ended. So one day ended up being "Take your little brother to work" day.
Flying the simulator.
One night was dedicated to American Village. This was eating at Jai Thai.
We were going to watch the sunset from Sunset Beach, but we chose to go on the ferris wheel instead. Good thing because it started pouring.
The last day was a beach day while Ed was flying. I enjoyed sitting on the beach while Spencer dealt with all the girls. Fabulous.
Thanks for coming out Spencer!

I am jealous. Great news on your PCS. I have heard great thinks about Little Rock. At least you get to stay where it is warm.
